The bottom tier is made of smooth white stone and represents the past; above that there are three more tiers made of concrete and brick. The center tier represents today and tomorrow by being painted in various shades of blue and green; above that there are two more tiers—one red (for yesterday) and one black (for tomorrow). And finally, at the very top sits an open space where you can see through all four layers down into the pool below.
