Sin City...with kids? No need to roll the dice and take a gamble on a Las Vegas, Nevada family vacation. It’s a safe bet that with some easy planning, you can avoid any surprises and enjoy a family-friendly Vegas vacation with kids of any age.
What happens on this Vegas visit stays there, right? Yes, but travel memories last forever. Here are three reasons why it’s easy to make countless memories in Las Vegas:
The larger-than-life sights: Seeing Las Vegas through your children’s eyes is a magical experience, any time of the day or night.
It’s a cinch to plan: Whether your family’s ideal trip includes top-rated entertainment, natural wonders, amusement parks, fabulous pools, gourmet cuisine or unique shopping, a Las Vegas vacation can be a worry and stress-free experience.
Everyone comes to play: With a family vacation in Las Vegas, you’ll never hear your kids utter the dreaded phrase: “I’m bored!”
Things to do in Las Vegas with kids of all ages
The heart of Las Vegas is the world-famous Strip, a four-mile stretch pulsing with mega-hotels, bright neon lights, loads of restaurants, over-the-top attractions and the most unique variety of people.
Your kids will “ooh” and “ahh” all the way down The Strip, gazing at gigantic replicas of iconic landmarks from around the globe, roller coasters speeding by overhead, an incredible medieval castle and even an erupting faux volcano. If your crew is up for it, then put on your most comfortable shoes and experience the Strip in all its extraordinary glory.
Crowds flock to this fantasy-like, must-see metropolis almost every night of the week. But you have an advantage over the night owls. You can start your day with toddlers, tweens or teens by splashing in the pool or hitting up an attraction before the rest of the city stirs from its slumber. If you plan to visit multiple attractions, there are popular discount passes that can save you both money and time in line.
Choose your own adventure. As they say in Vegas, dealer’s choice! You know your kids best: pick activities, attractions and fun things for kids to do based on their ages and interests.
Explore beyond the Strip
For your thrillseekers, mini-daredevils and teen-adrenaline junkies, the Big Apple Coaster has super-fast inversions. For a white-knuckle adventure, you can fly 11-stories high over bustling Fremont Street on the SlotZilla Zipline or scream your lungs out at The Strat. You can also visit the Adventuredome to ride indoor roller coasters or chill out with the kids playing some mini-bowling and arcade games.
For your animal lovers, Vegas has a kid-friendly wild side. Kids of all ages will adore the veritable Noah’s Ark of animal attractions Vegas offers. Toddlers will laugh at the antics of the bottlenose dolphins while more daring tykes will venture up close to the exotic wild tigers. Both are available at the Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat.
You can visit sharks and touch maritime critters at the Shark Reef Aquarium. A (free) sanity break from the hectic pace of The Strip can be found by escaping to the serene Flamingo Wildlife Habitat, teeming with pink flamingos and other feathered friends.
If your gang loves to get outside, start by finding them a kid-tabulous pool – or waterpark – at your hotel. Vegas is also the perfect home base for your family’s Southwest adventures. You can let loose exploring the majestic Red Rock Canyon or watch your kiddos light up learning about the mechanical marvel of the Hoover Dam.
Hilton hint

Social-media junkies will flip over the Seven Magic Mountains art installation, featuring seven colorful 30-foot-high towers of stacked boulders standing starkly amid the desert-scape and mountain ranges.
These sights are all less than an hour away: consider it a mini-road trip. Renting a car makes it easy to head off-Strip. A daily rental may be an option to avoid the hassle of parking, though it won’t save you from navigating the Strip’s notorious traffic. Don’t forget! In Nevada, children under age six and 60 pounds must be secured in properly installed car seats.
